5 easy steps to prepare for a smooth selection consult
The colour selection process, where you choose the styling of your home, both inside and out, is easily one of the most exciting parts of the new home build journey.
Want to walk away confident you’ll love your new home’s look? Then preparation is vital!
During this process, you’ll make many decisions, and we understand that this might feel a little overwhelming. But don’t worry; follow these simple steps, and you’re sure to be as prepared as possible for a smooth experience!
Know Your Plans.
Familiarising yourself with your floor plan and elevations will help you understand what goes where. For example, do you have feature brickwork or render on your front facade? Are you building in an estate, or is your block subject to Council town planning requirements? If so, changes to the external facade could require an amendment which costs time and money. If you're unsure, check with our sales team before your selection appointment for guidance.
Review your inclusions.
Each Lansell House and Land package comes complete with a comprehensive list of standard inclusions. It's good to remind yourself of those and any upgrades you opted for to ensure everything gets covered on the day.
What is your budget?
What spaces in your home do you think are worth a little extra investment? What is essential, and what are you willing to compromise? Answering these questions ahead of time will make it much easier to choose where to spend money on selection-related upgrades.
It pays to do your research - knowing what you do and don't like will give you a clearer vision of how you want your new home to look. Gather images of home designs that you love, both interiors and exteriors – you're likely to find a recurring theme.
