Heritage Charm

Black and white home

When this client selected our popular Somerset plan for her inner-city block, she didn’t realise the impact local Bendigo Council heritage overlays would have.

Our team worked closely with the client and Council to tweak the plan and re-design the facade to inject heritage character into the build. Linea board lent a weatherboard look, and a lovely little verandah better connected the home to the established neighbourhood.

“I love everything about my new home; it’s so good. Open, bright, and airy, everything I was expecting and more. I would recommend Lansell Homes to anyone thinking of building. It’s true that you can really just move in – the process was very easy!” ~ Nadine M, April 2021.

Inside, the choice of a fresh, bright white kitchen is a timeless option. But successfully drawing a white scheme together takes more than just painting everything white. To inject a sense of warmth and homeliness into your kitchen, you need to mix tones and textures. The timber floors and grey benches add contrast to this beautiful kitchen, while keeping the palette neutral – a clean base to decorate to suit any whim!

The vinyl flooring had such a lovely warm taupe tone through it. For the bathroom, the client chose tiles that were a match for these lighter tones. She paired it with a soft marble bench-top.
